We rate the difficulty level of this tour as a 4 / 5. You can expect relatively rocky paths and trails, requiring a good basic fitness level for hiking durations of up to 5.5 hours per day. Some sections may demand surefootedness, particularly during hikes such as the one through the Masca Gorge. The terrain includes diverse landscapes, ranging from coastal paths to mountainous areas, with occasional steep ascents and descents. While the itinerary offers both challenging and more relaxed options each day, participants should be prepared for some demanding segments, especially in the Teno Mountains and around Mount Teide.
