Passionate hikers, who appreciate lonely paths and varied nature, definitely get their money’s worth during the Styrian Salzkammergut Walking Tour! You can let your eyes gaze into the distance and enjoy the beauty and silence of the landscape. On this seven-day tour, you will have many fascinating experiences. For example, you will follow a rushing mountain stream during the leg from the imposing Loser over the Tressensattel. Or during the subsequent rowing experience with a traditional ‘Traunerl’ across the lake. In the heart of the Ausseerland, you will get up close to nature!

You make your way to Bad Goisern on Lake Hallstatt. From there, you continue straight to the hiking paradise of Predigstuhl, where you can climb the alpine pastures, huts and peaks of the Ausseerland. The hiking tour is relatively easy, but you will need sure-footedness in some parts and good basic fitness. On average, the day tours are 17 kilometres long and last around five hours.

Imposing mountain scenery, impressive alpine landscapes and crystal-clear lakes – the Ausseerland is pure perfection. In addition, you can experience unique customs, costumes, music and dance. A particular jewel is the Tauplitzalm. Lovingly called ‘The Alm’ by the locals, it is the most extensive lake plateau in Central Europe and lies in the mountain range of Totes Gebirge.

Note: This hike is also suitable for your four-legged friend!
