Orange to Avignon
In the morning, you will leave Orange using the Via Rhona. Very quickly, you will arrive in the heart of Chateauneuf-du-Pape vineyards. Stop in one of the domaine or in a bar to taste a glass of wine. You will continue your road following the Rhone River, until Barthelasse, the biggest island of the Rhone, before arriving in Avignon. Have a walk on the famous bridge et take your time to visit the Pope palace.

Avignon to St-Rémy de Provence
You leave Avignon following the Via Rhona. This cycle itinerary is very easy to follow along the Rhone River. It offers nice views on the river and on the villages all along the way. Have a stop in Beaucaire, and its medieval Castle on the top of the hill. You leave behind the Rhone River, in the direction of the East. The landscapes are amazing on the ‘Alpilles’. You arrive at the end of the afternoon in St-Rémy-de-Provence.

This day leads you to the Venezia of Provence: L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. You will first ride in a peaceful countryside, with amazing landscapes, riding from a small village to another, enjoying local life. The day won’t be that long, then you will fully enjoy L’Isle-sur-la Sorgue, well-known by art and bric-a-brac shop lovers.

This stage leads you in the garrigue of Provence, using the Via Venaissia. You will hear the cicadas all along the way and smell the nice smell of the peaceful area. The day won’t be very easy, to go up to Venasque. You will then, go down to the town of Carpentras.

This day leads you in the vineyards on provence for a part. Then, you will keep going via the villages of Beaumes-de-Venise, Le Barroux, Maulacène and you will arrive in Vaison-la-Romaine. It is a nice village very rich in Antiquity History. Have a walk in the narrow streets of this beautiful town built on the hill, along the river.
