How hard is the Hike the Alpe Adria Trail tour?
We rate this tour as a 3/5. This tour consists of daily hikes that are a maximum of 9 hours in length, but most days you’ll hike closer to 5 hours. The terrain is comfortable on well-marked trails and doesn’t include significant elevation gains.

Fly into Trieste Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport (TRS). There are bus and train routes that connect Trieste to Cividale, or you can arrange a private transfer.
Is the Hike the Alpe Adria Trail tour guided?
No. You will be provided with all necessary information to complete your self-guided tour. Self-guided tours provide great flexibility in your day-to-day but you should be comfortable with a bit more independence than you’d have on a guided tour.
Where does the Hike the Alpe Adria Trail tour end?
This tour ends in Trieste, and you can fly out of Trieste Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport (TRS). You can choose to book an airport transfer from your hotel.
