7-Day Murray to Mountains Rail Trail Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive at Beechworth

Overnight Location - Hotel in Beechworth | Distance - None | Meals - Dinner

Arrive Beechworth (transfers available) and meet and greet with your group and guide. Enjoy a welcome dinner this evening where you’ll get to know everyone as you prepare to begin your cycling journey.

Day 2

Cycle to Yackandandah and transfer back to Beechworth

Overnight Location - Hotel in Beechworth | Distance - 25km | Meals - Breakfast, lunch

Cycle the Murray to Mountains rail trail new extension to delightful Yackandandah, where you’ll enjoy a Gin Distillery tour and tasting with lunch. Transfer back to Beechworth for a leisurely free evening and overnight.

Day 3

Cycle to Milawa

Overnight Location - Hotel in Milawa | Distance - 35km | Meals - Breakfast, lunch

Cycle the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail from Beechworth to Milawa. Wine tastings, cheese tasting at the famous Milawa Cheese Factory and gourmet lunch await. Overnight at the newly renovated Lancemore Resort.

Day 4

Cycle to Myrtleford

Overnight Location - Hotel in Myrtleford | Distance - 43km | Meals - Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Enjoy breakfast, then cycle to Myrtleford with a gourmet winery lunch with exclusive wine tastings today. Overnight in stunning Villas with mountain views in Myrtleford.

Day 5

Cycle to Bright

Overnight Location - Hotel in Bright | Distance - 30km | Meals - Breakfast, lunch

Ride to beautiful Bright underneath Mt Buffalo today! Winery lunch with views. Free evening in beautiful Bright and overnight.

Day 6

Cycle to Wandiligong or Harrietville

Overnight Location - Hotel in Bright | Distance - 25-50km | Meals - Breakfast, dinner

The group has the choice of an easy ride to pretty Wandiligong along the Ovens River for lunch or a longer ride on the new Harrietville extension, equally as scenic. Celebratory dinner and overnight in Bright to conclude the trip!

Day 7

Transfer back to Beechworth and departure
