Arrive in Silandro, located in the sprawling Venosta Valley, and spend the rest of your day meandering the mountain-tucked city. Check out the pointed, lofty church tower while you’re here.

Passo di Resia
Enjoy a tasty breakfast before embarking on your first cycling adventure of this tour. At 10 am, transfer to Passo di Resia. Undergo a short trip briefing and get your bike fitted before pedaling through the mountain pass, a paved pathway divided by green grass, with snow-capped mountain peaks blanketing your view in the near distance. Cycle along the stunning Lake Resia and pass by the half-sunken church tower peeking out of the glistening sheet of water. Twist by Burgusio and Clusio—two quaint villages—before reaching Glorenza. This town may be small, but it’s packed with history—which is evident in its fortification. Let the Adige River take you to Lasa, another village before you make the final stretch back to Silandro.

Ride to Merano
Today you’ll hop on your bike and ride to one of the most famous spa towns: Merano. En route, twist through pine forests and admire the snow-swept mountains towering in the backdrop. Stop in Naturno for a cappuccino and some people watching. Hop back on your bike and cycle through a narrow ravine until the scenery collapses into a wide valley. Spend the rest of the day strolling through Merano, where European-style buildings stand in front of snow-swept mountains.

Enjoy breakfast before heading to Strada del Vino for a romantic ride through a collection of charming, cheerful wine villages. Eventually, you’ll dip into Adige Valley and pass by Egna and Salorno, two longstanding little towns. Once you arrive, drop off your bike at your hotel in the old part of town and check out some of the historical jewels dotting the city, such as the Buonconsiglio Castle Museum.

Begin your ride along the sparkling Adige River until you reach the town of Rovereto. From here, you will embark on a gentle ascent. Encounter gorgeous views of Lake Garda. Go down the path until you arrive in Riva del Garda. Navigate through ancient alleys until you get to your hotel. Keep in mind that you have the option to extend your trip for another day. This additional day will take you past more medieval monuments, etched with rich tales, and through more breathtaking views. If you opt for this, you will stay in Riva del Garda for two nights rather than just one.

Self-guided travelling is not difficult! For many, it is a preferred type of travel as you are in charge of your own time and pace.
