How hard is the Allgäu and Lechtal Alps Trek?
We rate the difficulty of this tour as a 5 / 5. This tour is quite challenging, with daily hikes ranging from 4 to 7 hours across high alpine terrain. Prior hiking experience, sure-footedness, and a good head for heights are essential. Excellent physical fitness is required, as four out of five days involve demanding alpine trails, though easier alternatives are available for most days.

How do I get to Oberstdorf to start this tour?
Oberstdorf is easily accessible by car, with well-connected roads from major cities like Munich (about 2 hours) and Stuttgart (about 2.5 hours). Follow the A7 or A96 highways and continue on regional roads to reach the town. There are also some convenient bus and train connections.
