Route Description for Olde Stage Road
Olde Stage Road is a favourite Boulder bike ride and the classic introduction to hill climbing in Boulder, with a relatively short and straight forward climb up the popular Front Range road with a fun descent down the backside! From the parking lot off of Lee Hill Dr., ride west towards the mountains. The road will curve north. Continue heading straight climbing uphill via Olde Stage Rd. This steep climb has two distinct bumps that will get your heart rate elevated! The climb will gradually level out as you reach the top of Olde Stage Rd.
The backside of Olde Stage Road is a fast downhill with a few curves to keep you honest. Merge onto Left Hand Canyon Dr. and continue your descent to US 36. At the end of Left Hand Canyon, you will merge onto US 36 which is a busy highway with a large shoulder / bike lane. Take US 36 south back to Boulder, eventually reconnecting with Lee Hill Dr.

From Boulder, head north on Broadway to Lee Hill Dr. Take Lee Hill Dr. west for a quarter mile to a parking lot on the south side of Lee Hill Dr.Route Information
