Route Description for Reeth Round Walk
Lovely views of the countryside and the point where two scenic dales meet are what awaits on the Reeth Round Walk. Featuring easy-to-navigate terrain - with the exception of a few stone walls that you will need to clamber over - this walk is perfectly suited for a fun family adventure that everyone will be sure to enjoy.
Setting out from the trailhead in Reeth, you will make your way north through the town and follow along Arkengarthdale Road as it leads you through the hamlet of Jenny Hill. Just after this, you will break off onto a footpath that cuts across the open countryside.
Eventually, you will pass through Thorndale Wood and cross over Arkle Beck, turning to the southeast as you pass by Castle Farm House. Continue in this direction and follow the trail as it runs nearly parallel to the edge of the water, taking you across the picturesque countryside for views of the valley. After the trail turns more directly to the south, you will arrive at a bridge crossing over Arkle Beck. Head west and make your way over the bridge, following the road to head back into Reeth where you started your journey.
