Route Description for Aysgarth Woods and Waterfalls Circular Walk
Walking the Aysgarth Woods and Waterfalls Circular Trail is a relaxing experience in the Yorkshire Dales that is suitable for beginner and seasoned walkers alike, thanks to the variety of terrain and beautiful views along the edge of the River.
Setting out from the car park, you will make your way to the northeast to pass through the tranquil atmosphere of Freeholders Wood and St Joseph’s Wood. From here, you will exit the cover of the trees and climb uphill across the pasture, eventually turning to the southwest to head downhill towards the river.
Once you have reached the banks of the River Ure, continue to the west to experience the beautiful sight of the Lower, Middle, and High Aysgarth Force waterfalls, taking your time through this wonderfully scenic area before arriving back at the trailhead, where you began.

To reach the trailhead for the Aysgarth Woods and Waterfalls Circular Walk from Leyburn, drive southwest on Wensley Road for 7.1mi and turn right onto Church Bank. Follow this for 0.4mi and turn left to enter the car park.Route Information
