Route Description for Schaffer Lake and McArthur Pass
Although a difficult hike, the Schaffer Lake and McArthur Pass Trail is a popular route in Yoho National Park that will expose you to some of the best scenery in the area. Setting out from the trailhead next to the Lake O’Hara Lodge, you will follow along the edge of the lake and experience some beautiful views across the water to the surrounding mountain peaks before climbing uphill to the south to traverse the rugged and rocky terrain of All Soul’s Prospect.
