Route Description for Turbid Lake Trail
The Turbid Lake Trail is a rugged hike in Yellowstone National Park. This trail is overgrown and not often maintained. We recommend downloading a map of the area before heading out and bringing a GPS device if you have one available. If you are up for the adventure, the Turbid Lake Trail has tons to see and explore. With 34.8 km of hiking, a huge lake, and rugged terrain who knows what you’ll discover on your adventure!
Beginning at the Nine Mile Trailhead, follow the Turbid Lake Trail northeast to Turbid Lake. Follow the west shore of the lake then continue north to the junction with the Pelican Creek-Pelican Valley Trail.
At the junction of the Turbid Lake Trail and the Pelican Creek-Pelican Valley Trail, turn around and retrace your route back to the Nine Mile Trailhead where you began.
