Route Description for Riddle Lake Trail
The Riddle Lake Trail is a gorgeous route in Yellowstone National Park. Bears are sometimes seen on this trail, so before heading out, ensure that everyone in your hiking party is familiar with bear safety protocols. At least one member of your hiking group should carry bear spray and know how to use it properly. If you are looking for a peaceful sanctuary away from the crowded trails of the park, the Riddle Lake Trail is the route for you. With an abundance of wildlife, and lush vegetation, this trail is a lovely way to spend an afternoon basking in the beauty of the Wyoming wilderness.
Beginning at the Riddle Lake Trailhead, follow the path east to the shores of Riddle Lake. Enjoy your time exploring around the lake and the surrounding wetland.
When you are ready to head home, simply retrace your steps back to the trailhead where you began.
