Route Description for Norris Campground to Norris Basin Loop
The Norris Basin Loop is a lovely route in Yellowstone. This trail is in no way rugged or strenuous, but it does make a fantastic family-friendly trail that’s great for hikers of all skill levels. The Norris Basin Loop travels past countless geysers, pools, and springs, each seemingly more incredible than the last. The Norris Basin Loop will take your breath away at every twist and turn with so much to see.
Beginning at the trailhead, follow the path south to Nuphar Lake. At Nuphar Lake, follow the trail on your left-hand side to hike the loop clockwise. Check out the Norris Geyser Museum and the countless geothermal features as you make your way around the circuit and back to Nuphar Lake.
When you find yourself back in familiar territory, retrace your steps back north to the Norris Geyser Basin Trailhead where you began.

This hike begins at the Norris Geyser Basin Trailhead on the south side of Grand Loop Road, across from the Norris Campground.Route Information
