Route Description for Canyon Rim South Trail to Point Sublime
The Canyon Rim South Trail to Point Sublime is a fantastic route in Yellowstone National Park. This trail does get very busy, especially in the summertime. We suggest you head out on this hike early in the morning to beat the crowds. The Canyon Rim South Trail is well maintained and not challenging, but it follows an intimidating cliff edge. This might not be the best trail for you if you are uncomfortable with heights. With stunning views, the whole way, the Canyon Rim South Trail to Point Sublime is one of the most scenic hikes in Yellowstone National Park.
Beginning at the Wapiti Lake Trailhead, follow the path north along the canyon rim past the Upper and Lower Yellowstone Falls Overlooks to Artist's Point then Point Sublime.
Be sure to snap some photos at all the overlooks and soak in the incredible views before turning around and retracing your steps back to the Wapiti Lake Trailhead, where you began.
