Route Description for Prior and Thetis Lakes Loop Hike
Located within Thetis Lake Regional Park, the Prior and Thetis Lake Loop is a fun adventure through the rainforest that will provide some amazing scenery and the chance to explore some beautiful lakeside terrain. The trail sets out from the parking area and heads to the northeast through a dense network of routes that dissect the forested landscape. Make sure to bring a GPS or trail map, as sections of the trail are overgrown and can be a bit tricky to navigate. Follow the path through the moss-covered forest until you arrive at Prior Lake and the small dock that juts out across the water for some scenic views. Head to the northwest around the lake and continue along the trail as it turns to the south and meets up with Thetis Lake. Here, you will have an amazing sightline across an even bigger body of water with some nice views of the surrounding rainforest landscape. After exploring the trails along the edge of the lake, continue south on a route that will lead you back towards the trailhead where you began your hike.
