Route Description for Whiskey Creek Trail to Bourbon Lake
The hike to Bourbon Lake via the Whiskey Creek Trail is a fantastic route in the western Uintas. This trail can get buggy in the early summer. If you are heading out in late June or early July, we recommend bringing along a bottle of bug repellent or wearing long layers to deter the mosquitoes. If you enjoy fishing, you will want to bring along the rod; Bourbon Lake is a great spot to catch Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Cutthroat Trout. With the opportunity to see forest fauna such as moose and deer and a plethora of plant life to discover, the Whiskey Creek to Bourbon Lake Trail is a great place to spend the day exploring and enjoying nature with the whole family.
