Route Description for Clegg Canyon Trail
The Clegg Canyon Trail is a short and sweet hike in the western Uintas. This trail is not often maintained and can get overgrown, so we recommend wearing long pants and close-toed shoes to avoid getting scratched up legs on your hike. Although this trail is short, it is beautiful, and you will want to take your time to explore every section of it; be sure to bring enough water and snacks to make your hike the best it can be. With an aspen forest, wildflowers, and sagebrush, this route is a gorgeous place to spend an afternoon exploring the beauty of nature with loved ones.
From the trailhead on the side of Highway 40, follow the trail along Clegg Canyon for 2.1 km. After 2.1 km, the trail does continue but becomes very overgrown and rugged, so we recommend turning around at this point and heading back the way you came.
If you are looking for more to explore in the area, check out the Foreman Hollow Nature Trail nearby.
