Route Description for Wild Horse Trail
The Wild Horse Trail is a beautiful hike with easy terrain for hikers and mountain bikers. This route shows off the beauty of the desert without requiring much effort, making it a popular pick for beginner hikers and mountain bikers. Be prepared to share the trail. There are lots of connecting routes that can be used to extend your adventures if you’d like to go further.
This route is out in the sun, so we recommend leaving it for shoulder season or winter and coming prepared with lots of water, a hat, and sunscreen if you plan to visit on a hot day. If you’re new to the area, bring a GPS route to help with the occasional unsigned junction you’ll encounter.
From the trailhead next to the road, take Twisted Sister Trail, keeping left twice and then again at the next 4-way junction onto Wild Horse Trail. Stay right at the next two junctions and continue straight through to the trail’s end at N Usery Road. From here, turn back and retrace your steps to the trailhead.
This route can also be done starting from N Usery Road and turning around at the Twisted Sister Trailhead.
