Route Description for Weavers Needle Vista Hike
The Weavers Needle Vista is a well-known viewpoint with a great sightline over the Sonoran Desert, from saguaros to mountains and all the desert in between. It’s a great spot for a walk with easy terrain and constant views. Expect mixed moderate traffic including horses and hikers.
This trail is poorly marked and it’s easy to lose your way. A downloaded GPS route is essential or you’ll likely find yourself lost. Avoid this hike in the extreme heat of the spring and summer and come prepared with plenty of water, a hat, and sunscreen no matter what time of year you choose to hike in.
The Weavers Needle Vista Hike begins from the parking loop. Stay left where the route splits. You’ll dip south before the loop turns to head north again, then you’ll turn south once more towards the restroom facilities. From here, it’s a mostly straight trip to the junction where you’ll turn right and hike parallel to the road back to the trailhead.
