Route Description for Klein Lake Hike
Although the hike to Klein Lake is relatively easy and traverses some favourable forest terrain, there are some parts of the hike that are a bit more rocky and technical. Remember to wear proper hiking footwear and watch your footing, as it can be easy to get tripped up along the more rugged parts of the trail.
Setting out from the trailhead, the route initially follows a dirt road before breaking off into the dense cover of the forest in a northern direction. Along this first portion of the hike you will gain most of your elevation, as you climb gently through the forest and cross over a creek. Shortly after the creek crossing, you will arrive at a rocky bluff with some nice views looking out over the calm waters of the lake. From here, the trail continues to the north along the edge of the water until you arrive at the Klein Lake Recreation Site. Continue along the northern side of the lake and relax in the tranquil lakeside atmosphere before arriving at the terminus of this hike. From here, you can continue to explore the beautiful wooded shores of the lake before heading back down the trail to return to your vehicle.
