Route Description for Holly Branch Loop Hike
Hiking the Holly Branch Loop is a great way to explore the wonderfully forested inland areas along the Sunshine Coast, without the difficulty of a longer backcountry trail. The route sets out from the side of the road and enters into the dense rainforest atmosphere on a trail leading towards the southwest. When you reach the fork, take the path to the right to begin a loop through the heavily wooded terrain. As you work your way along the forest floor, you will pass by giant moss-covered trees and small flowing streams with rocky creek beds, eventually arriving at a viewing point where you can gaze out at the cascading water of a small waterfall. Continue along the loop as it turns back towards the north and enjoy the remaining stretch of West Coast temperate rainforest as you return to the trailhead where you began your journey.
