Route Description for Gibraltar Lookout Hike
Hiking to the Gibraltar Lookout is a fun and easy way to catch some amazing views overlooking the varied landscape of the Sunshine Coast. Setting out from the trailhead, follow the path into the forest as it begins a gentle uphill climb that will be maintained for the duration of the hike. With the exception of the bluffs at the end of the trail, this hike takes place under the shady cover of the tree canopy, making it a great option for an excursion during the heat of summer. Eventually you will break free of the forest and arrive at the Gibraltar Bluffs, with an amazing view that stretches south across the forest and rugged hills, and sweeps west towards the pristine coastal landscape along the Strait of Georgia. After taking in the breathtaking views, make your way back along the same route to return to the trailhead.
