Route Description for Panther Lake Trail From Kwai Lake
Hiking the Panther Lake Trail from Kwai Lake is a fun trail that will take you through the Forbidden Plateau along a route to the south to reach this beautiful lake. The terrain in this region comprises many small lakes and streams, which can impede travel during wetter times of the year. But don’t worry—you should have no problem traversing the wet landscape, as there are many small rock and log bridges that hikers have crudely fashioned over the years.
Making your way east from the Kwai Lake Campsite, follow the fork in the trail to the right to set out on a path towards Panther Lake. As you make your way along the trail, you will catch glimpses of nearby mountain peaks as they poke above the treeline. After crossing over countless streams, you will eventually arrive at the tranquil, wooded shores of Panther Lake. Take some time to explore the area before heading back along the trail to return to your campsite at Kwai Lake.
