Route Description for Love Lake Trail
Hiking the Love Lake Trail is a challenging but rewarding experience that will leave you with tired legs and great memories of the long journey to reach the lake. This trail is only accessible by boat, so hikers will need to either paddle the 45.0 km across the lake or rent a water taxi. From there, you will need to hike 13.5 km along the Della Falls Trail and traverse a cable car to reach the Love Lake Trail. As if that weren’t enough of an adventure already, the trail itself is a steep 5.3 km grind that climbs through the dense tree cover along a series of switchbacks.
When you finally get to the lake, your perseverance will be rewarded with fantastic views overlooking the lake and the rugged Mount Rosseau and Mount Septimus in the backdrop. It might be a whole ordeal just to get to the trailhead, but the scenic views and the experience itself are far worth the effort.
