Route Description for Jack’s Trail to DeBeck’s Hill
Jack’s Trail to DeBeck’s Hill sets out from the beautiful forests of Alice Lake Provincial Park on a route that climbs uphill through the trees on a loop around the hill. The route doesn’t contain any sweeping panoramic views over the surrounding area, but it does offer some beautiful glimpses at the rugged mountains of the nearby Tantalus Range, as well as the Squamish Valley. Additionally, the trail passes by the tranquil waters of Alice Lake and climbs through a scenic stretch of forest along the Hop Ranch Creek, making for a pleasant hike through the woods.
The trail itself is well maintained and offers a good variety of terrain, including uphill climbs and some flat stretches along a forest service road. Approximately halfway through the hike, there is a nice viewpoint overlooking the valley with a scenic mountain backdrop that is definitely the highlight of this hiking route. If you are looking for a moderate trail around Squamish with some awesome woodland scenery, then Jack’s Trail to DeBeck’s Hill should certainly be on your list.
Getting to the Jack’s Trail to DeBeck’s Hill Trailhead
To get to the parking area for Jack’s Trail to DeBeck’s Hill from Squamish, drive north on BC-99 N and make a right turn onto Alice Lake Road. Continue on for 1.6km to find the trailhead on your right.Route Information
