The Hinton Ampner Circular Walk is a beautiful stroll through the English countryside that showcases incredible views of the South Downs National Park. Enjoy an afternoon with the family along this kid and dog-friendly walk and see why this walk is so popular.
Following the ridge that surrounds Hinton Ampner Estate, you will be able to see across South Downs National Park and will be met with views of the beautiful rolling hills that make up this countryside area. As you continue on, you will enter the woodlands and follow the path as you take in the spectacular sights of bluebells and wood anemones that blanket the floor. From here, you can see views of Hinton Ampner House and will have to navigate some kissing gates as you move on. The last area of this walk will take you through livestock pasture before bringing you back to where you started at the beginning.
Getting to the Hinton Ampner Circular Walk Trailhead
To get to the Hinton Ampner Circular Walk from Alresford, head southwest on Jacklyns Lane/B3046 toward Salisbury Road and in 3.1mi, turn left onto Petersfield Road/A272. In 0.2mi, turn right onto Hinton Hill and take a slight right. In 0.1mi, your destination will be on your left.Route Information
