Route Description for Durford Wood Walk
The Durford Wood walk has a lot to offer along this stretch of path through the English countryside. Head out along the South Downs Ridge and take in the stunning views surrounding you before heading into the woodlands. When you enter the wooded area of this path, keep your eyes open for wildlife that frequents this area of South Downs National Park.
There are some steady and steep climbs in this area, so make sure you are prepared. As you follow the signage, you will come to the village of Rogate halfway through. This is where many visitors will take a break and enjoy a bite to eat with a pint before continuing along the path. When you are ready, continue on, and you will find yourself wandering along a quiet country lane until you reach the beginning of the path where you began.
Getting to the Durford Wood Walk Trailhead
To get to the Durford Wood Walk from Liss, head southwest toward Hill Brow Road/B3006 and exit the roundabout onto Hill Brow Road/B3006. Turn right onto London Road/B2070 and in 0.7mi, take a left.
