Route Description for White Bark Vista Hike
The White Bark Vista Hike boasts breathtaking panoramas of the High Sierra. Wander the shared OHV route to an overlook on the edge of a sheer cliffside. This awesome adventure is short, sweet, and easily manageable by hikers of all skill levels and ages. Note much of the path is exposed, so make sure you check the forecast, wear sun protection and dress accordingly! Additionally, when trekking with children and dogs, it is important to be mindful of off-roaders passing by!
Embark on your adventure along the White Bark Vista Hike from the trailhead at Kaiser Pass. From here, the White Bark Viewpoint Trail heads west, along the dirt route lined with mixed conifers. The path will gradually climb through the forestlands and out to the exposed overlook as you hike.
From the scenic viewpoint, you will be rewarded with uninterrupted panoramas of the Sierra Crest, the lush forestlands, and Florence Lake and Lake Thomas A. Edison. Marvel in the panoramic vistas, and when you are ready, retrace your footing along the path back to the trailhead.
