Route Description for Roaring River Falls Trail
Those seeking a short, easy-going outdoor adventure in the National Park will enjoy the Roaring River Falls Trail. This lovely adventure meanders through a meadow and mixed conifers into the river canyon. Though inviting, the slippery rocks and dangerous currents beneath the surface of the water make swimming here extremely hazardous—respect the warning signs that line the footpath. Note entrance to the park costs $35USD per vehicle or $20USD per person for pedestrians or cyclists.
Setting out from the trailhead, the Roaring River Falls Trail wanders south through the meadowlands. From here, you will be granted impressive scenes of the encompassing Sierra Nevada before escaping into the canyon. Mind your footing on the rocky terrain as you wander along the route and soon the path will near the Roaring River.
At the mouth of the canyon, you will be rewarded with dumbfounding views of the surging cascade that pours through the granite valley. Enjoy the hypnotic scene of the Roaring River Falls, then retrace your footing along the path back to the trailhead.
