Route Description for Lake Constantine Hike
Revealing quintessential high-country views, the Constantine Lake Trail is one of the most picturesque sub-alpine adventures in the Swatch Mountain Range. Revel in the sights of the lush woodlands and the looming snow-capped peaks as you walk up to the glittering lake. Open year-round, this versatile trek can be enjoyed in the summer and winter alike, as long as you have a set of crampons or snowshoes! Note that as you are wandering deep into the wilderness, there is a possibility of an encounter with wildlife, so be mindful and keep your distance.
Embark on your adventure along the Constantine Lake Hike from the Halfmoon Trail. From here, track south along the Fall Creek Trail that is lined with towering pines. Here, the trail will follow the curves of Fall Creek and you will be lulled into a state of relaxation as you walk. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the whispering woodlands, before the terrain becomes increasingly exposed on the approach to the lake.
Constantine Lake is the first body of water along the trail. From the lakeshore, revel in the scenery of the shimmering waters encircled by pines with dramatic cliffs situated in the background. If you still have some gas left in the tank, continue along the path up to the Tuhare Lakes. When you are done exploring, retrace your footing along the route all the way back to the trailhead.
