Route Description for Brady Lake Trail
The Brady Lake Trail is an awesome excursion through Colorado’s high country. Travel through the woodlands, along gurgling alpine streams, and up to the alpine tundra where the crystalline lake sits, flanked by craggy cliffs. Perfect for those seeking a more secluded and private hike, this walk is lightly trafficked, so if you are lucky, you may even get the trail to yourself. Note the road up to the trailhead is rugged—make sure your vehicle has high ground clearance.
Embark on your adventure along the Brady Lake Trail from the trailhead at the end of the Missouri Creek Road. From here, track southwest along the Sopris Lake Trail. Departing from the trailhead, you will immediately pass a small alpine pool before beginning your climb up to the alpine lake. Following the alpine creek through the woodlands, you will eventually ascend the ride up to the glittering pool.
From here, revel in the sights of the blue-hued waters encircled by towering pines and hemmed by craggy cliffs. Rejuvenate your tired feet in the chilly waters, and when you are ready to return, retrace your footing along the path back to the trailhead.
