Route Description for Beaver Creek Overlook Trail
The Beaver Creek Overlook Trail is a stunning adventure that can be enjoyed year-round by the whole family. This versatile trek presents the perfect opportunity to get out into the fresh air, but you will likely need to strap on a pair of snowshoes in the winter months! The steep terrain leading up to the overlook can prove difficult for some hikers, but don’t worry, there is a convenient way to get down the mountain if you are exhausted—just take the Centennial Gondola Ski Lift!
Departing from the Village Loop Trailhead in the Beaver Creek Ski Resort, track southwest along the Village Loop Trail. Soon, you will encounter an intersection and hook onto the Overlook Trail. From here the route will begin to climb and weave underneath the Centennial Lift, where you will enjoy the sights of the towering vibrant aspens surrounding you. Ignore the intersecting paths and continue along this route to make your way up to the overlook.
From the Beaver Creek Overlook, you will be granted an expansive view of the snow-capped Sawatch Mountain Range peaks that line the horizon, as well as views of the bustling resort below. If you are seeking an exciting adventure back down the slope, take a gondola! If not, retrace your footing along the path all the way back to the trailhead.
