Route Description for Meadow Loop via Horse Gulch Trail
If you are in the Durango area and are in the mood for a relatively short and easy hiking experience with pleasant views of the landscape, then the Meadow Loop via Horse Gulch Trail is a great excursion for a fun afternoon outdoors.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the southeast alongside Horse Gulch, gradually climbing uphill next to the stream to eventually arrive at a fork in the path. Here, you will head right and climb further uphill, completing a loop to the northeast that will take you around a meadow with some scenic views of the area.
After descending the hillside and arriving back at the junction, simply follow your initial path along Horse Gulch to return to the trailhead where you began your hiking adventure.
