Whether you are seeking a lunchtime escape or an early morning adventure, the Corona Heights Hike offers wonderful scenery, including a diversity of flora and fauna. Wander up the path bound by lush grass and impressive outcrops to an awesome overlook of San Francisco—don’t forget to charge your camera!
Setting out from the parking lot and trailhead at the Randall Museum, the Corona Heights Trail wanders northeast, climbing through the grassy terrain before diverting northwest up the dirt steps. Mind your footing as you ascend the dirt steps and at the next intersection, keep left. Continue along the path, turning right at the following junction up to the summit of Corona Heights. Indulge in the breathtaking panoramas of the city and distant views of the bay.
Meandering along the path west, you will eventually reach the route’s end; take a sharp right here. This trail curves along the hill's northern slope, past the dog play area, and back to the steps. Beyond this point, simply retrace your footing back to the trailhead.
