The Skyline, Pirates, and Fall Line Loop Trail is an excellent route in the San Bernardino National Forest that will take you through a lovely stretch of woodland terrain. While out hiking the trail, you will traverse a mixture of forest, meadow, and rocky terrain, before looping back around tho the starting point of your adventure. As this is a multi-use trail, be sure to keep an eye out for passing mountain bikers and allow them enough room to safely maneuver.

Route Description for Skyline, Pirates, and Fall Line Loop Trail

If you don’t mind competing for room along the trail with some avid mountain bike enthusiasts, then the Skyline, Pirates, and Fall Line Loop Trail is a fun route to explore. As there are several intersecting paths along the trail, you might want to bring a GPS or trail map for navigation, although it is not necessary.

Setting out from the trailhead on Club View Drive, you will make your way south and into the tree cover, where you will almost immediately begin to climb uphill. Here, the trail will bend to the southwest and lead you around the slope of a hill, where you will enjoy some intermittent views of the surrounding landscape through the tree cover.

Eventually, the route will bend to the north along the Pirates Trail for a short distance, before branching off to the northeast onto the Fall Line Trail. Here, you will descend through the forest on route to the trailhead where you began your adventure.

Getting to the Skyline, Pirates, and Fall Line Loop Trail Trailhead

The Skyline, Pirates, and Fall Line Loop Trail can be accessed from Club View Drive, just 0.4mi west of the Bear Mountain Ski Resort.
