Route Description for Rainbow Bridge via PCT Hike
If you are after a fun hiking route near San Bernardino, California that isn’t overly strenuous but still features some beautifully scenic views, then the Rainbow Bridge via PCT Hike is a great option for you to explore on your next outing.
Setting out from the trailhead on Arrowhead Lake Road, you will follow the Saddle Dike Embankment to the east and pass by the Mojave River Dam. From here, you will get onto the Pacific Crest Trail and follow it uphill through a series of switchbacks to reach a vantage point with beautiful views over the canyon.
Descending slightly into the canyon, you will follow the trail as it runs roughly parallel to the winding banks of Deep Creek to the east. Eventually, you will pass by the cascading waters of Hesperia Falls and arrive at the charming Rainbow Bridge that spans Deep Creek. After pausing for a quick rest, follow the same trail back on the return to the trailhead where you began your adventure.
