Route Description for Old CC Spur Trail
If you often find yourself looking for a hiking route that is more about the journey than the destination, then the Old CC Spur Trail is a great option in the San Bernardino National Forest. Located just northwest of San Bernardino, this route features undulating terrain and nice views of the surrounding landscape.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will follow Big Tree Cucamonga Road as it climbs uphill to the southwest around the slopes of Texas Hill. Eventually, you will break off to the right and follow along the dirt track known as Old CC Spur as it heads to the northwest.
Take some time to survey your surroundings as you traverse the hilly landscape and marvel at the beauty of nature. This route doesn’t necessarily lead to a specific viewpoint, so when you are ready to head back to the trailhead you can simply turn back and retrace your footsteps.
