Route Description for Little Bear Peak Hike
Hiking the Little Bear Peak Trail is an excellent adventure that will produce some amazing views across the surrounding landscape and is suitable for nearly all ages and skill levels. If you are looking for a fun afternoon on the trails of San Bernardino National Forest, then you will definitely not be disappointed after undertaking this quick and easy hike.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will head to the northwest and begin climbing gently uphill through the forest. Even with the surrounding trees, the majority of this route is exposed to the sun, so make sure to bring sunscreen or wear protective clothing.
After climbing uphill through the forest, you will gain some more elevation as the trail turns to the west for the final ascent of Little Bear Peak. Once you are at the summit, you will experience some gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains and Big Bear Lake to the south. After taking in the scenic views, simply head back along the same route to return to your vehicle.
