Route Description for Crafts Peak Trail
For those adventurers who are in search of an exceptional day-hike that is a real bang for your buck journey, the Crafts Peak Trail in the San Bernardino National Forest is a great way to experience the beautifully scenic views of Southern California.
Setting out from the trailhead at the Green Valley Campground, you will follow Forest Road 2N13 to the northeast, before keeping right onto 2N13D. Here, you will continue to gradually gain some elevation through a mixture of forest and meadow, keeping left to chart a course for the summit of Crafts Peak.
After crossing over a small creek, the terrain will begin to steepen and become rocky as you push on towards the summit. Once there, you will enjoy some incredible views of the surrounding landscape, including sweeping forests, rugged peaks, and beautiful lakes. After taking in the views, retrace your footsteps to return to the trailhead next to the Green Valley Campground.
