Route Description for The Z Trail to Bonneville Shoreline Trail
The Z Trail to the Bonneville Shoreline Trail is a moderately challenging hike in the Mount Olympus Wilderness outside of Holladay, Utah. Beginning from the Thousand Oaks Trailhead, this route begins with a steep climb. Hikers should arrive with proper, grippy hiking shoes and we strongly recommend bringing along hiking poles for this section. Dogs are allowed to join you on the Z Trail to the Bonneville Shoreline Trail; however, they must be kept on leash for the duration of their hike. This route is absolutely gorgeous, and is a perfect place to go for a short morning walk with the dog. The Z Trail to the Bonneville Shoreline Trail is especially beautiful in the fall when the autumn colors are out in full force!
From the Thousand Oaks Trailhead, head up the Z trail to a divide, then take a right to head south along the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. Continue along the Bonneville Shoreline Trail to a point where it meets up with another route, which marks the turn around point for this hike.
When you reach the junction, simply turn around and follow your footsteps back to the Thousand Oaks Trailhead.

This hike begins at the Thousand Oaks Trailhead, at the south end of Thousand Oaks Drive, on the eastern edge of Holladay, Utah.Route Information
