Route Description for Morris Reservoir and Valleyview via the Bonneville Shoreline Trail
The Bonneville Shoreline Trail: Morris Reservoir and Valleyview section is a fantastic hike in Salt Lake City, Utah. This trail is moderately challenging and appropriate for families with older children. This route is a multi-use trail popular with dog-walkers, hikers, and mountain bikers. When hiking, be sure to keep your eyes and ears open and allow bikes to zip past you. The Bonneville Shoreline Trail: Morris Reservoir and Valleyview section is a lovely, well-maintained, gorgeous trail year-round. Check out this trail in the late spring/early summer to see the wildflowers that pepper this route in full bloom.
From the trailhead, follow the Meadow Trail/Morris Reservoir Road north then turn east onto the 19th avenue trail. Continue along the 19th avenue trail before heading south, then looping back west along the Bonneville Shoreline Trail: Valleyview Section. After about 3.1 km, you will find yourself back at the Meadow Trail/Morris Reservoir Road. From here, simply follow the familiar path back to the trailhead where you began.
