The Honeycomb Canyon and Lake Solitude Loop is a gorgeous hike near Brighton, Utah. This trail is moderately challenging with some steep climbs, but the views along the route are totally worth the effort! While hiking, keep an eye out for forest critters such as deer and moose who frequent the area.

Route Description for Honeycomb Canyon and Lake Solitude Loop

The Honeycomb Canyon and Lake Solitude Trail is a beautiful forest hike. This trail is steep, so strap on a solid pair of hiking shoes, bring plenty of water, and be ready for a workout! If you want some support on the ascents and descents, we strongly recommend bringing along hiking poles for this trail. The Honeycomb Canyon and Lake Solitude trail will reward your effort with breathtaking views of the Utah Landscape. Be sure to pack a camera and give yourself lots of time to enjoy this gorgeous trail.

From the parking area, head west along the Queen Bess Trail, this will take you around the loop counterclockwise. Follow the trail as it climbs up to a fantastic viewpoint overlooking the Twin Lakes Reservoir. From the overlook, head north to pass by Lake Solitude then make your way down Raptor Road back to the Trailhead.

Reward your hike with a stop at Little Dollie Waffles on the east side of the parking lot before heading on to the next adventure.

Getting to the Honeycomb Canyon and Lake Solitude Loop Trailhead

From highway 190/Big Cottonwood Canyon Road, turn southwest onto Solitude Resort Road then park at the lot ahead along East Church Road. The Honeycomb Canyon and Solitude Lake Trail begins in the west corner of the lot.
