Route Description for Church Creek to Pipeline Overlook
The Church Creek to Pipeline Overlook Trail is a fantastic multi-use trail with beautiful mountain views. This trail is highly popular with trail runners, mountain bikers, dog-walkers, and day-hikers. When hiking, be sure to keep your eyes and ears open and allow faster folks to pass you by. Dogs are welcome on this route and they are allowed off-leash on odd numbered days but must be kept on leash on even numbered days of the month. This hike is a bit long, but relatively flat the whole way through so it’s a great option for families looking to get out for a weekend walk in the beautiful Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
This Church Creek to Pipeline Overlook Trail begins at the Church Fork Picnic Area off of Mill Creek Canyon Road. From the Picnic Area, take the Pipeline Trail heading west to cross over Scout Hollow and Burnt Hollow before arriving at Rattlesnake Gulch. At Rattlesnake Gulch, stay right at the first divide in the path then take a left at the next divide. Continue southwest to the overlook at the junction of the Pipeline Trail, the Scrubby Connector Trail, and the Crestwood Trail.
Take a rest at this overlook and enjoy the views before turning around and following the same route back to the Church Fork Picnic Area where you began.
