Route Description for Toll Memorial Trail
Hike up to one of the best overlooks of the Rocky Mountain National Park on the Toll Mountain Trail. This scenic adventure will guide its explorers to the immense rock sculptures that sit atop the alpine tundra. This path sits at a high elevation, so make sure you are acclimated to the area’s high altitude prior to your excursion. This path is located within the Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP), so visitors are required to purchase a pass.
The Toll Memorial Hike departs from the Tundra Communities Trailhead. From here, track northeast up the gravel path. This excursion will guide you through the verdant alpine tundra. As you hike, you will eventually confront the Mushroom Rocks. Explore the granite sculptures and take plenty of photos before continuing to the overlook. Ascend the route to the overlook and revel in the 360-degree, panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks that line the horizon.
Enjoy the scenery, and when you are ready, retrace your steps back along the path to the trailhead.
