Route Description for Hidden Valley Nature Walk
The Hidden Valley Nature Hike is an epic experience that the whole family will enjoy. Short and scenic, this stimulating path will capture the attention of all its venturers, not to mention it is also a great trail for spotting wildlife! Make sure to stop and read some of the informational plaques along the path and learn more about this impressive environment. Note that visitors are required to purchase a park pass to access the hike.
Embark on your adventure around the Hidden Valley Nature Hike from the parking lot. This path can be completed in various ways, but we prefer to trek counterclockwise. From the parking lot, take the trail north and cross the footbridge over the Hidden Valley Creek. Once you cross the gurling creek, the path will divert west, hiking between the towering pines and along the ambient stream. Eventually, the path will curve you south, back across the stream. From here, hike east along the path, noticing wildflowers and keeping an eye out for grazing elk.
Continue along this forest route back to the parking lot, marking the end of your stunning nature walk. If you want to enjoy the scenery longer, pack provision and have lunch at one of the many picnic tables near the creek.
