Route Description for Hidden Beach and False Klamath Rock Hike
If you are seeking a scenic adventure, then you have come to the right place. The Hidden Beach and False Klamath Rock Hike is arguably one of the most picturesque adventures—offering panoramic maritime views whilst traveling amongst the tree canopy of towering redwoods. Hiking so close to the coastline warrants extreme conditions—so dress in layers and expect fog! Additionally, this route is often obstructed by blow-down, so you may have to do some off-roading!
Embark on your adventure along the Hidden Beach and False Klamath Rock Hike from the Coastal trailhead. Setting out from here, you will be guided northwest along the Coastal Trail, gently descending into the forestlands. Letting the fresh air fill your lungs, you will be mesmerized by the sights of the Pacific and the rugged coastline. Eventually passing Hidden Beach, the route will drop along the coastline to Lagoon Pond– notice the impressive rocks that protrude from the ocean here.
Continue hiking, and you will ultimately reach an intersection with Redwood Highway. At this point, simply retrace your footing along the path all the way back to the trailhead.
