Route Description for Greenway Trail to Shane Lake Hike
The Greenway Trail to Shane Lake Hike is the alternate, more extended version of the Shane Lake Loop, giving you a longer chance to immerse in the wildly scenic scenery painting Prince George’s Forest for the World. Before you go, we advise brushing up on your bear safety tips and packing bear spray. It’s not uncommon to spot a bear roaming near the trail. You can also fish at the lake, so consider bringing your gear and checking out rules and regulations before you set out! However, we suggest checking out the shorter version of this hike if you're primarily fishing, as the parking lot location may be more convenient.
Setting out from the UNBC Greenway Trails parking lot, the Greenway Trail leads you directly to the wildly wonderful Shane Lake. Follow the Shane Lake Loop trail to circumnavigate the lake! Take your time and enjoy the scenery as you follow this lovely loop.
