Route Description for Phoenix Mountain Nature Trail 304
Phoenix Mountain Nature Trail 304 is an easy, short hike that starts and ends from the far end of the Phoenix Mountain Park. This outing is the perfect way to stretch your legs and get outside without committing a ton of time or energy. It’s also a great way for families and beginners to enjoy the outdoors on a fairly relaxed trail.
The trailhead is at the back of the parking lot. Our route goes clockwise, but you can hike counterclockwise as well. Take #403 Nature Trail. It can be a bit rocky at times but overall is flat with some brief inclines. Climb up and over the saddle to the wash.
Once you reach the fork across the wash, go right. You’ll hike east for a few steps before taking a right at the 4-way junction. You’ll now be hiking back in the direction of the trailhead. Crest the saddle and descend back down to the starting point.
