With a short overall distance, easy-to-navigate terrain, and beautiful views, it’s easy to see why the Youlgreave and Bradford Dale Circular is such a popular family-friendly walk in the Peak District. The trail sets out from the quaint village of Youlgreave and crosses over the River Bradford, following to the west as you head through the serene atmosphere of the dale. After working through this small forested valley, you will cross the open farmland terrain to the east to enter the nearby village of Bradford. From here, it is a short jaunt back along the river’s edge to the village of Youlgreave where you began the walk.

Getting to the Youlgreave and Bradford Dale Circular Walk Trailhead
To reach the car park for the Youlgreave and Bradford Dale Circular from Rowsley, drive southwest on Dale Road for 1.1mi and turn left onto B5056, following it for 0.9mi. Make a slight right onto Alport Lane and continue on for 1.4mi before the road veers left and becomes Church Street. After 755ft, continue onto Main Street and follow it for 0.3mi to find the car park on the right.Route Information
